The works for the construction of the steel framed roof for the new Lidl store in Ypsonas will start in the next few weeks. The most distinctive aspect of this structure is that the bearing structure consists of 14 trusses of span up to 31m and total weight of 70ton covering an area of 2000 s.m. The main contractor of the project is Atlas Pantou Co Ltd.

Our company has reached an agreement with the construction company Hubloc Construction Ltd for the delivery of the steel structure of the new supermarket Alpha Mega in Latsia. This new commercial building, of over 1000 sq.m, will utilize beyond 150tn steel. The project design will be undertaken by J + A Philippou architects engineers.

Within the coming week the erection works of the new floor addition to the Crystal Spring Beach Hotel in Protaras will be completed. The steel structure has a weight of 65tn and covers an area of 950 sq.m., it is erected on the existing 5^th floor of the building, while for the roof envelop the pioneer SpeedZip® Standing Seam Roofing System will be installed.

The repair and maintenance works commenced yesterday on the steel roof of Paralimni Municipal Stadium “TASOS MARKOU”. The structure has already been disassembled and moved to the ground using a telescopic crane. It will then undergo thorough examination, the metal parts that have damaged beyond repair will be replaced, and the sections’ surface will be cleaned with mechanical means and painted with an epoxy coating system.

The works for the seismic upgrade of the WEIL HALL & THEATRE at the American Academy in Larnaca will commence the following week.  The subcontractor agreement includes extension of the theater balcony, outside canopies, and the construction of a new steel roof including also the installation of the cladding system SpeedZip.

Much of the work of the steel structures for the project “Archbishop Makarios III high school (Dasoupolis) – construction and restoration works” has been completed. The subcontractor agreement included a steel canopy structure of 45tn, steel columns to support the footbridge as well as a concrete slab. Cyfield Ltd is the contractor of this project.

With great pleasure we welcomed at our premises on Tuesday 26^th November 2013, 2nd year students of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Nicosia. The visit lasted for two hours and aimed to provide support on students’ related project. During their visit, the students followed the fabrication process of our production line, although particular emphasis was given to the illustration of three-dimensional modeling carried out using StruCad.

The openings of  ΕΤΕΚ (Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber) Educational and Cultural Center will be held on Tuesday 22^nd October 2013 at 9-11 Theseus Street in the heart of old Nicosia. Both the construction of the building’s steel frame, and the further supplementary metal works (stairs, railings) have been carried out by our company.
